It’s the season of giving and Mercedes-Benz of Temecula wants to help give to underserved children and teens by collecting toys and sports equipment to help make their holidays brighter.

ABC®7 and the Southern California firefighters are celebrating the 24th anniversary of the Spark of Love Toy Drive. This initiative was founded to collect new, unwrapped toys and sports gear for underprivileged children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura, and Riverside counties.  This year, Spark of Love Toy Drive has partnered with U.S. Marine Corp Reserve’s Toys for Tots program to double last year’s 500,000 donations and spread extra holiday cheer. With over 9.5 million toys collected in the past two decades, looks like St. Nick and his elves might be taking an early vacation.

STUFF-A-BUS

For another year, Mercedes-Benz of Ontario has decided to participate in the Stuff-A-Bus campaign initiated by Spark of Love and televised by ABC®7. To twist things up a bit, the Mercedes-Benz of Ontario team has decided to stuff a Mercedes-Benz full of toys on December 9th that will be driven over to the donation drive held at Mathis Brothers near the dealership. We can’t wait to help fill more busses and break the previous year’s record.

There will be one other Stuff-A-Bus event held in Anaheim at the Honda Center on Friday, December 16.

HOW TO DONATE

Help Spark of Love and the Fletcher Jones team reach their goal this year by stopping at our Mercedes-Benz of Ontario or Mercedes-Benz of Temecula locations between now and December 16th to donate. We will be continuing to collect donations after the Stuff-A-Bus event. For more information on other ways to donate, please visit www.calfund.org/abc7-firefighters-spark-love-toy-drive-fund/.
