As one of the world's leading automakers, Mercedes-Benz endeavors to set new standards for design, performance, luxury, and technology in the automotive industry. The company goes to great lengths to ensure that its vehicles stay abreast of the latest automotive trends and innovations. For the 2024 model year, it has refreshed many models in its lineup to meet the ever-changing tastes and preferences of luxury car shoppers. Let's take a look at the upcoming changes to several Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz CLA

Competing in the compact luxury car segment, the Mercedes-Benz CLA undergoes an array of exterior and interior styling tweaks for 2024. On the outside, the coupe gains a new grille design, a re-sculpted front fascia, and revised headlights for enhanced visual heft and a slightly bolder appearance. It also offers two new exclusive color options and three new wheel designs. The AMG CLA 35 and CLA 45 S now sport an AMG-specific front end, and the CLA 45 S can include the AMG Aerodynamics Package Plus that adds a fixed rear spoiler.

Inside the new CLA, you'll find a larger standard display, which comprises a 10.25-inch touch screen and a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster that both run the latest MBUX infotainment system. The system now comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and an additional USB-C port. Furthermore, there are two new trim choices available for the regular CLA, which are carbon and open-pore wood. Choosing an AMG model opens up the available brown microfiber trim option and two dual-tone color schemes.

Another notable update to the 2024 CLA is the addition of a 48-volt hybrid system to the powertrain. In the lower end of the rev range, this system increases the coupe's power output by 13 horsepower to help with acceleration.

Mercedes-Benz GLB

The upcoming changes to the Mercedes-Benz GLB include subtle exterior modifications and new interior features. The compact SUV features an updated front grille and bumper and new headlights and taillights with sharper LED graphics, resulting in a sleeker and sportier appearance. Other exterior changes include a new Spectral Blue metallic paint option and new 18- and 20-inch wheels.

On the inside, the 2024 GLB gets the same infotainment upgrades as the CLA, which include larger screens, wireless smartphone connectivity, and an extra USB-C port. Automatic high-beam headlights and a parking package with a 360-degree camera view join the list of standard driver-assistance features. Also, the crossover now comes standard with a nappa leather steering wheel and offers a heated steering wheel with its AMG Line package. Similar to the CLA, the GLB features an upgraded powertrain with a 48-volt hybrid system.

Mercedes-Benz GLS

For 2024, Mercedes-Benz's flagship SUV, the GLS, looks and feels a little different from its predecessor. As part of a mid-cycle refresh, every model of the full-size SUV receives some minor exterior styling tweaks, including a larger grille and new taillights with three distinct blocks. There are also two new paint colors: MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey and Twilight Blue metallic. Both the AMG and Maybach models are now available with forged 23-inch wheels, and the AMG also gains red-painted brake calipers.

For the interior, the GLS offers a variety of new leather colors, such as Bahia Brown/Black, Catalana Beige, Silver Grey Pearl, Crystal White, Macchiato Beige, and Mahogany Brown. You'll also have two additional interior trim options to choose from: MANUFAKTUR Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines and Brown Linden Wood. In addition, the entire GLS lineup receives heated and ventilated front seats, a new steering wheel with spoke-mounted touch controls, a panoramic sunroof, the latest MBUX software, and automated high-beams as standard equipment.

The mid-cycle refresh also gives the GLS 450 and GLS 580 a small power bump, increasing their outputs to 375 horsepower and 510 horsepower respectively. The GLS 580 now offers the Off-Road Engineering package as an option, which includes an upgraded air suspension and underbody protection. While it doesn't get any powertrain updates, the AMG GLS 63 has improved air suspension and anti-roll systems.

The 2024 GLS has already arrived at Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States. If you're interested in buying the latest GLS, make sure you check out our inventory at Mercedes-Benz of Temecula in California and ask if we have any special offers on the model.

Mercedes-Benz GLE

If you prefer a midsize SUV, consider getting the refreshed 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE. Outside, the new GLE features an updated grille with chrome details, new daytime running lights, and revised taillights. It also offers two new wheel designs and two new paint colors. Standard and available wheels range from 19 to 22 inches depending on the model you choose.

The interior of the 2024 GLE introduces some details from the new GLS, such as the latest MBUX system and a touch-sensitive steering wheel. Additionally, the AMG version gains a standard equipment extension that includes heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, augmented-reality navigation, and a Burmester audio system. It also has a variety of new upholstery options.

One of the main updates to the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE is the addition of the GLE 450e 4MATIC to the trim lineup. This model has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a 100-kW electric motor, which combine to deliver 381 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. However, Mercedes-Benz hasn't revealed the electric-only range of the new model. Meanwhile, it's also important to note that Mercedes has electrified all the other GLE trims with a 48-volt hybrid system.
